Do you have a real rat problem?

When rats return regularly, a trap designed for a single catch is no longer sufficient.
The Maxi-Catch is not only intended for the occasional rat. It is most useful when the passages are regular, when multiple generations of rats are present, or when you cannot be there to rearm a trap after each catch.

We advise you to act quickly in case of significant signs of presence: droppings of different sizes, strong urine odor, or rats observed during the day.

Automatic rat trap DétruiRAT® Maxi-Catch 6000 V

The Maxi-Catch is made for you if:

✓ Rats regularly pass through the same spot
You can set the trap on their path, especially along walls or near areas where they roam.

✓ You want to avoid prolonged capture
The system is designed to quickly trigger the closure and then electrocution.

✓ You want to handle multiple captures
After an electrocution, the trap automatically resets after 5 minutes.

✓ You do not want to manually reset the trap
Once properly installed, the system automatically cycles through.

✓ You want to know what happened
The digital screen indicates the number of electrocuted rats, false detections, and intruders.

Why is the DétruiRAT® Maxi-Prises different from other traps?

An automatic system designed for situations where traditional traps are no longer sufficient.

A quick action

When a rat enters the tunnel, the infrared barriers trigger the closure of both doors in less than 100 milliseconds. The rat is then directed to the electrocution chamber at 6,000 V.

The trap resets itself

After a capture, the rat falls into the collection bin. The Maxi-Prises automatically resets after 5 minutes, without you having to intervene between each capture.

Designed to chain captures

The Maxi-Prises has no programmed capture limit: it continues to operate until the collection bin is full.

Monitoring directly on the device

The digital screen provides useful information without having to disassemble the trap: power voltage, number of electrocutions, false detections, intruders, or issues with an infrared barrier.

A recovery bin

To facilitate the recovery of the catches, the eliminated rodents fall into a bin designed for their disposal.

A bird protection mode

The bird protection mode uses a twilight sensor to stop the trap during the day and resume operation in the dark.

How does the DétruiRAT® Maxi-Prises work?

1

The rat enters

The rat enters the tunnel and crosses the infrared barriers.

-> Automatic detection

2

The doors close

The system triggers in less than 100 ms.

-> The rat is directed to the cell

3

Electrocution

The cell delivers a voltage of 6,000 V.

-> The rat is electrocuted instantly and without unnecessary suffering

4

The rat falls into the bin

The eliminated rodent falls into the recovery bin.

5

Automatic rearming

After 5 minutes
the Maxi-Prises resumes
its operation.

6

New catch

The trap is ready again to detect a rat.

Valentin, The Hunter Camp

Valentin's opinion

This is typically the kind of equipment I recommend when rat pressure is high and you want to stop chasing after every catch.

Here, the system detects the passage, captures, falls into the bin, and re-arms five minutes later. And with the screen, when you come back, you know what happened: catches, false detections, intruders…

Where to install the DétruiRAT® Maxi-Prises?

The right location makes a real difference. The trap must be installed on a flat, solid, and stable surface, without space under the device allowing a small rodent to pass or dig.

First, look for the passages

  • along the walls;
  • near feeding areas;
  • around storage areas;
  • near places where you observe droppings;
  • close to areas where rats find refuge.

The manual recommends using primarily food that rats already know in their environment.

The trap must remain dry

The Maxi-Prises should not be used in the rain or in a humid environment.

A setup suitable for your terrain

Hunting cabin

Do you regularly find traces around the cabin? The Maxi-Prises can be installed on an identified passage, in a dry and secure location.

Barn or agricultural building

When multiple generations of rats circulate in the same building, the ability to automatically chain catches becomes particularly interesting.

Garage or outbuilding

If the rats always return through the same area, position the trap on their path rather than multiplying locations at random.

The principle remains the same:

Identify the passage → install correctly → monitor → maintain.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The Maxi-Prises has a 24/7 mode. It also has a "Bird Protection" mode that automatically suspends its operation during the day and resumes it in the dark.

The manufacturer states that the rat is directed to a 6,000 V electrocution cell after the doors close in less than 100 milliseconds and describes the electrocution as instantaneous and painless.

The trap has no programmed capture limit. It continues to operate until the collection bin is full. The actual capacity therefore depends on the number of captures and the frequency of emptying the bin.

Yes. After an electrocution, the Maxi-Prises automatically re-arms after five minutes.

The digital display indicates the number of electrocutions, and the trap also uses an audible signal: Two short beeps correspond to the presence of electrocuted rodents.

The trap should not be directly exposed to rain. The manual recommends placing it in a sheltered and dry location.

The manual indicates a supplied adapter 230 V → 12 V DC and specifies not to use another adapter. The technical sheet of the manual indicates 12 V DC, 2.5 A and 30 W.

An adult cat too large to pass through the 75 mm conduit to the cell may be considered an intruder and be released. In contrast, small animals capable of reaching the electrocution cell are not distinguished from rodents. The manufacturer therefore requests great caution with kittens, chicks, birds, and other small animals.

To remember

The DétruiRAT® Maxi-Prises focuses primarily on a quick action. The closure of the tunnel in less than 100 ms, followed by electrocution at 6,000 V, aims to avoid prolonged capture and to limit the suffering of the rat. Its automatic resetting then allows for multiple captures without intervention between each cycle.
